The trail begins on a paved path before transitioning to a gravel path that winds along the water, with peaceful views and natural surroundings throughout the walk.
The outing is approximately 3 miles round trip, making it a comfortable, unhurried walk with plenty of time to stop, observe, and appreciate these impressive colonial nesters and the wildlife that share their habitat.
